Steam is the only way in, and your SteamID64 is the whole account.
Signing in with Steam sends you to Steam's own site. We never see your password, and Steam only tells us your account ID — nothing else.
Sign in through SteamYour account here is your SteamID64. Display name and avatar are read from your public Steam profile after sign-in.
Signing in is also what makes you known to the server. Your account page then states whether anything stands between you and joining, and the one thing that clears it.
